What's in the Upkeep Kit?

The Upkeep Kit is a universal kit that includes all of the typical replacement parts and supplies you need to clean, maintain, and keep your Jabra Enhance hearing aids sounding their best - clean hearing aids are happy hearing aids!

The #1 reason hearing aids stop producing sound is due to debris plugging the domes, wax guards, or microphone ports. Watch the video below for a refresher on cleaning your hearing aids:

Our Upkeep Kit contains:

Cleaning Brush and Cloth

Your go-to tools for daily maintenance. These are used to brush or wipe away any debris or wax from your dome and microphone ports. You can also use the cloth to gently wipe down your hearing aids. Our Audiology Team recommends using these daily before you put your hearing aids in their case for the night.

Wax Guards

Wax guards help prevent ear wax from getting into your receiver wire. As time goes on, the wax guard collects tiny particles before they get into your hearing aid. Over time, they'll start to plug up. That's why our Audiology Team recommends changing your wax guards once a month.

Pro Tip: Sometimes, your wax guards can get clogged immediately after inserting your hearing aids into your ears - especially if you are brand new to wearing hearing aids. Even if you have inserted clean hearing aids into your ears, if a hearing aid sounds weak or dead, try changing the wax guard.

Domes

Domes fit snugly in your ear, directing sound into your ear canal. The Upkeep Kit includes all three styles of domes in their varying sizes. If what you have currently is working for you or was recommended by a Jabra Enhance hearing specialist, keep using the same type and size.

Open Domes

Open domes typically work well for people with mild to moderate high-frequency hearing loss who need more help with clarity than volume. If you're currently wearing a tulip or closed dome and feel a little plugged up, you may want to try open domes. They come in small, medium, and large sizes.

Closed Domes

Closed domes help boost both volume and clarity. If you want more loudness, and more low-pitch sounds, closed domes might be for you. These come in small, medium, and large sizes.

Tulip Domes

The tulip dome is a hybrid between closed and open domes, offering benefits of both. Want the loudness of a closed dome, without that “plugged up” feeling? Maybe you like the comfort of the open dome, but you’re experiencing some feedback? The tulip dome could be your answer. One size fits all.

Our Audiology Team recommends replacing your domes every month for proper maintenance and sound quality.
