Your hearing needs can change over time or even from one listening situation to another. That’s why we’ve made it easy for you to request an adjustment from our Audiology Team right from the app to make sure you’re hearing well no matter the situation. Please note, this feature is available for those whose purchase includes audiology services.
When or why would I request an adjustment?
You may want to request an adjustment from our Audiology Team if:
- You’d like adjustments for specific listening situations (restaurants, TV, group conversations, outdoor settings, etc.)
- You consistently find yourself turning your hearing aids up or down
- You’ve recently retaken our online hearing test or submitted a recent audiogram and want programming based on your latest results
If any of the above sound familiar or if you just have a question for our Audiology Team about your programming, requesting an adjustment is the way to go.
Step 1: Requesting an adjustment
- Open the Jabra Enhance Select app
- Tap the Hear tab, then the Settings icon to get to the Settings screen.
- Select Request a professional adjustment
- Complete the short questionnaire describing what you’re experiencing
- Tap Send Now
After submitting, you’ll see a confirmation screen. Our Audiology Team aims to get to requests within 24-48 hours, but this can vary depending on customer demand and Audiology Team availability.
Please note: Only one professional adjustment request can be submitted at a time. Once your current request is actioned by our team, you can submit another if needed.
Step 2: Install your updated programming
When our Audiology Team sends updated programming, you’ll receive a notification in the app. Look for a red dot on the Settings icon.
To install your professional programming:
- Open the Jabra Enhance Select app
- Tap the Hear tab
- Tap the Settings icon
- On the Settings screen, select Install New Settings
- Remain on the screen until installation is complete
- Tap Done
You’ll see a confirmation message showing the date your current programming was installed.
Having trouble installing? Try this:
- Confirm both hearing aids are connected. Head to the Hear tab to make sure you see both hearing aids listed as connected in the upper left corner.
- Check your internet connection. Make sure you have a strong cell signal or are connected to reliable Wi-Fi.
- Close and reopen the app. Fully close out of the Jabra Enhance Select app (do not just minimize it), then open it again and try installing from the Settings screen.
- Restart your hearing aids. Turn your hearing aids off, then back on, reconnect to the app, and attempt installation again.
- Power cycle everything (if needed). If the issue continues, turn off your phone and your hearing aids. Turn them back on, open the app, and try installing the professional programming again.
What to expect after you install
Your hearing aids will still power on at 50% volume. This is normal. Your updated professional programming has been successfully applied, even though the starting level appears the same in the app.
What if you need more adjustments?
Give your updated programming a try specifically in the environments you requested adjustments for - it can take a few days to get used to your new programming. If after a couple of days it’s not quite right, simply submit another professional adjustment request through the Care tab.
